Mid-Year Report

Going into the class, I had already had a notion of what I was to expect from the class because two of my friends had already taken the class last year. I did not hink however, that it would be so time consuming. I believe that part of the class was what made the class so difficult to handle because of all of the other classes that I have and that I need to focus on. There are a lot of things that have to be done outside of the classroom, like interviewing and observing. I also had to get used to the style of writing that journalism requires. I have been writing in honors classes for a long time, but I still had to get used to this style. It is very different than what I was used to. That was also a hard adjustment for me to handle. Overall, hoever, I was very pleased with the class because I get to experience something else from the normal academic and book focused classes that I usually take. This class is a lot more hands-on than those classes and i really enjoy that approach. It makes it a lot more interesting and less tedious.
